Beginner Granny Squares - Make your first bag!

Learn to create something classic, cozy, and endlessly fun—one granny square at a time! Join Kristen for a three-part Intro to Granny Squares series, meeting every other week. This class is perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a refresher. You will learn the basics of making granny squares and joining them to create a beautiful handmade bag inspired by the Granny Bag pattern. You can choose to work with either small or large granny squares, depending on your style and comfort level. By the end of the series, you’ll have the skills to turn simple squares into something truly special—your own crocheted bag, made with love.  Minimum skills required: chain and single crochet. 

Supplies:

• 2 skeins of Araucania Alga or 3 skeins of Pandamonium yarn (1 skein per color)

• Crochet Hook G (4mm) or H (5mm)

• Stitch markers

• Scissors

• Darning Needle

NOTE: Yarn for the class must be purchased at The Altered Stitch. Please, come early to pick your materials and have them wound before class begins. You are more than welcome to come any day before the class. Any of the staff will be more than happy to help you with your yarn choices and get you prepared for class at your convenience.
