Intro to Crochet

Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

In this two-part class, you will learn how to read patterns and yarn labels, as well as the fundamental techniques of crochet: chaining, basic crochet stitches, and working back and forth. By the end of the class, you'll transform simple yarn into one (or more!) washcloths.

Supplies:

• 1 skein of cotton yarn, preferably a light colored, non-variegated yarn

• Crochet Hook G (4mm) or H (5mm)

• Stitch markers

• Scissors

• Darning Needle

• Pattern: Provided with class

NOTE: Yarn for the class must be purchased at The Altered Stitch. Please, come early to pick your materials and have them wound before class begins. You are more than welcome to come any day before the class. Any of the staff will be more than happy to help you with your yarn choices and get you prepared for class at your convenience.
