Intro to Tunisian Crochet

Join your Tunisian Crochet Bestie, Amanda Decker of AceKreates, for a beginner-friendly introduction to this beautiful craft that combines elements of both knitting and crochet to create rich texture and fabric, perfect for accessories, garments, blankets and more. 

In this 2-hour workshop, students will learn the foundation of Tunisian Crochet, including: intro to tunisian crochet and basics, how to cast on, the tunisian simple stitch, forward and return passes, how to cat off and finish your work.

This class is perfect for crocheters looking to try something new, knitters curious about Tunisian Crochet, or complete beginners ready to explore a new fiber art skill.

Supplies:

• 1 skein of DK weight yarn

• 6.5 mm fixed or interchangeable crochet hook (if you tend to be tight, size up to 7 or 8mm)

NOTE: Yarn for the class must be purchased at The Altered Stitch. Please, come early to pick your materials and have them wound before class begins. You are more than welcome to come any day before the class. Any of the staff will be more than happy to help you with your yarn choices and get you prepared for class at your convenience.
