"Nox Yarn co. is a small yarn dyeing company located in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains. All yarn is dyed by me, Danielle Ahles, in a hobbit-hole of a studio surrounded by greenery. 

My colorways are inspired by nature, mythology and general nerdery (be it internet-related or influenced by my favorite books and movies!). As an artist, I generally prefer to work on paper and canvas, often using only black ink for my illustrations and prints - dyeing yarn has been a way for me to explore color in a new and tactile medium, and I adore the process (and the results!)."
