Crochet 101-In Shop Only

This is a perfect first project to master the fundamental stitches of crochet and build your crochet knowledge. In this class, you will learn how to read a basic crochet pattern, how to hold your hook and yarn, the chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet stitches. You will be making a scarf to practice these stitches. Plus, you will be taught tips and tricks to keep your crochet stitches straight and looking great.

Join us for a leisurely Saturday morning Brioche class to create a beautiful asymmetric double layer fabric shawl that has a Hygge vibe! Finished size is 45” X 75”. However you can make your shawl as big or small as you wish by working fewer/more repeats of the pattern. This class is an excellent stepping stone into the wonderful world of Brioche knitting. Basic knitting skills required: Cast on, Knit, Purl stitches. Build your skills with Brioche Knit & Brioche Purl, and I-Cord edge. In this class we will demystify the Brioche knitting technique and create a colorful, & lush double sided fabric that you will love to wrap yourself up in.

Do you love hearts and crochet? Join us in this FREE CAL to create a beautiful scarf to celebrate the day of LOVE. Make for yourself or someone you love? Basic crochet knowledge required: Chaining Slip stitch, Single crochet, Half double crochet, Double crochet. Learn the Trebble stitch & Double Trebble stitch to create the hearts. Use a DK/light worsted yarn for the base and a contrasting color for the hearts to achieve the look you want. Make this scarf any thickness you wish. For this project there are a variety of hand dyed DK yarns in the shop to choose from. Malabrigo Rios would also create a lovely fabric, as well as Cascade 220 solids. For a fun fluffy look try Malabrigo Mohair, or Purls & Postulates Mohair held togeather with the contrasting yarn for the hearts would be very pretty in this scarf.

Yorkshire Crochet Along Blanket Series: Part 4 - In Person Only

Are you ready to flex your crochet muscles and have a whole lot of fun? Then come join us for the Yorkshire Crochet Along Blanket Series. This is an instructed CAL. There are 12 different block patterns in all. And now in Part 4 we are ready to put it all together. There is such a variety of fun squares. It takes 4 separate paid sessions to complete all the instruction of the different style of stitches and the assembly of the blanket. We suggest the most informative route and take all 4 parts of the series.

In Part 4 we are ready to put all of our blocks together and learn join as you stitch by stitch technique. We will also be adding the finishing touches to our blanket with the scallop edging. Basic crochet knowledge is required; chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet treble crochet. Level up your crochet skills and learn; front & back loop stitch, front & back post stitch, V stitch, crossed double crochet, cluster stitch, popcorn stitch, puff stitch and split decreases, join as you go technique and finish with a beautiful border of scallops. There are great visual guides and you will have hands on help every step of the way. Choose to hook yours up in either Fingering or DK/Worsted. Fingering for a lapghan that measures 38" X 55 1/2", and DK/worsted for a throw that measures 48 3/4" X 70 1/2"
