The “Mountain Gods” vest is sure to become one of your favorite pieces to wear! It can be worn upside down, right side up, open, or closed with your favorite shawl pin. The class will cover everything that you need to know to complete the pattern. Thus, you will learn a unique hemmed cast-on and bind-off to create clean borders, how to set things up so that you don’t need to look at the pattern very often, and other useful tips such as making your left leaning decreases look as neat as your right ones! The pattern, styling tips and of course help choosing your yarn are free with the class.
This one-day trunk show will include all the Zen Yarn Garden bases, new gradient trio kits and tons of beautiful knit samples!
***This is not a garment making class, you will walk away with a swatch and the knowledge of how to do the more complex parts of the pattern so finishing is a breeze! We will be hosting a KAL for this garment after the class as well as a Zen trunk show so you can purchase the best yarns for this project!
Materials for the class: scrap Serenity Silk + yarn will be provided (if you plan to use a different yarn for the project bring it!), size US6 circular needle 32” or longer, AND size US5 (or smaller) circular needle 32” or longer, four removable stitch markers, optional: needle end caps
