About the class:
In this three part series, students ages 7 and up will learn the basics of knitting while making a simple knitted toy or two, such as a bunny, a butterfly, and/or a rainbow ball. We will practice knitting, casting on and casting off. Parents are welcome to sit in on the class, so they can learn, or help their children at home.
All materials are available at The Altered Stitch. Limited enrollment.
Elizabeth has been teaching knitting and other traditional handwork skills successfully for around 35 years in a Waldorf setting, and has recently published her first book Teaching Through Stories: Jane and Jeremy Learn to Knit, available at the Altered Stitch. This method uses stories to make a sometimes challenging skill accessible to all.
