With Summer already upon us that means fall isn’t too far behind. The Window Box Sweater is a perfect layering piece that can easily transition from breezy Summer nights to crisp Fall days, and will be taught by our beautiful guest teacher Kaitlyn. We found her wearing this amazing pattern during The L.A. Yarn Crawl. We posted it all over Social Media and her top made in Apple Green in Malabrigo Green was an instance hit. Now she is here to bestow her crocheting knowledge on us. The pattern is written in three sizes (S, M, L) but can easily be customized to your preferred fit and length. The picture in the pattern is the cropped version but you can always add or subtract rows to make it the perfect length for you. This sweater features a loose fit and fun flared bell sleeves. It is worked in the round from the top down. If you decide to make your sweater longer, keep in mind that you will need additional yarn. The pattern calls for heavier fingering weight (2) or light DK (3) yarn held double. If you choose for something more summery options, the store was cotton, bamboo cotton blends and linen all from Mary Gaven and even Malabrigo Verano! This top can also be made with a wool or wool blend to add some extra warmth to carry it through winter, well, at least in Los Angeles. You can join this three part class in person or via Zoom.
