Braided Bralette
When it is getting hot outside, it is time to knit something cool and comfy to wear. The Braided Bralette is just as much fun to make as it is to wear. It is a Cami with spaghetti straps and is knit in the round for most of the project, and bottom up. The pattern includes 9 different sizes to choose from so It will be easy to find the perfect fit.
Once the body section is completed, the V-neck is created by separately working each cup, and then attaching the I-cord straps (you learned how to make earlier) to obtain the desired look. You can make a traditional Cami, crisscross the straps, or even choose to leave the straps loose and tie the at the nape of the neck. This pattern is all about customization. The Braided Bralette calls for DK weight yarn. It gives you many options in our shop. You can opt to use DK from many of indie dyers. You can use Malabrigo Rios, which is a very light worsted weight yarn that can be used interchangeably with DK. Or may we suggest using Malabrigo Verano. The Verano is a DK weight Pima cotton, a perfect summer fabric to be worn close to the skin in California weather. You can join the yarn party in person or via Zoom.
