Learn to Knit a Washcloth
Have you always wanted to learn how to knit but didn’t know where to start? Join us for this beginner-friendly class and learn the basics of knitting while creating a beautiful, practical washcloth!
No previous knitting experience is necessary! In this class, you’ll learn how to cast on, knit, work simple increases and decreases, and bind off while following an easy-to-learn pattern. By the end of class, you’ll have the skills and confidence to continue knitting your washcloth at home and begin your knitting journey!
Supplies:
- 1 skein of DK-weight cotton yarn (approximately 60–70 yards)
- US 6 (4mm) knitting needles

NOTE: Yarn for the class must be purchased at The Altered Stitch. Please come early to pick your materials and have them wound before class begins. You are more than welcome to come any day before the class. Any of the staff will be more than happy to help you choose your yarn and get you prepared for class at your convenience.
