Fields Of Brioche
Join us for a leisurely Saturday morning Brioche class to create a beautiful asymmetric double layer fabric shawl that has a Hygge vibe! Finished size is 45” X 75”. However you can make your shawl as big or small as you wish by working fewer/more repeats of the pattern. This class is an excellent stepping stone into the wonderful world of Brioche knitting. Basic knitting skills required: Cast on, Knit, Purl stitches. Build your skills with Brioche Knit & Brioche Purl, and I-Cord edge. In this class we will demystify the Brioche knitting technique and create a colorful, & lush double sided fabric that you will love to wrap yourself up in.

3 skeins of highly contrasting colors in Sock/Fingering yarn
Or approximately 875 yds - 930 Fingering weight yarn.
This project is perfect for Malabrigo Sock yarn. Or use any of our lovely Fingering weight yarns in the shop. We have some exciting new colors in Sock by Purls and Postulates, and Raven Wool & Wear to choose from.
Size US4/ 3.5mm 32” to 40” circular needles.

NOTE: Materials for class must be purchased at the Altered Stitch. PLEASE come early to pick your materials and have them wound before class begins. You are more than welcome to come any day before the class. Any of the staff will be more than happy to help you with your yarn choices and get you prepared for class at your convenience.
