Heart Scarf - FREE CAL In Shop Only
Do you love hearts and crochet? Join us in this FREE CAL to create a beautiful scarf to celebrate the day of LOVE. Make for yourself or someone you love? Basic crochet knowledge required: Chaining Slip stitch, Single crochet, Half double crochet, Double crochet. Learn the Trebble stitch & Double Trebble stitch to create the hearts. Use a DK/light worsted yarn for the base and a contrasting color for the hearts to achieve the look you want. Make this scarf any thickness you wish. For this project there are a variety of hand dyed DK yarns in the shop to choose from. Malabrigo Rios would also create a lovely fabric, as well as Cascade 220 solids. For a fun fluffy look try Malabrigo Mohair, or Purls & Postulates Mohair held togeather with the contrasting yarn for the hearts would be very pretty in this scarf.

H (5.0 mm) crochet hook
300 - 400 yds DK or light worsted weight yarn
142 yds Mohair held double or other decorative yarn
